  Victoria Monument, Bangkok

We have spent this past week taking a closer look at Bangkok. Utilizating the skytrain quite a lot of the city has been within easy access. Dare I say that tonight we ventured into the famous red light district, and night market. We had planned a return visit to the weekend market with its 8,000 plus stalls but we got busy doing other things.

Bangkok city street

It is said that there are more vehicles per Kilometer in Bangkok than in any other city in the world. Whats more no one obeys the rules of the road, they drive wherever they want including along the sidewalks and not stopping at red lights. You really need to be aware of the traffic, a taxi ride can be a hair raising experience.
